The music ministry of Anniston First United Methodist Church seeks to glorify God and offer the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ through acts of music in worship! We believe that scripture gives us an excellent model of worship in Colossians 3:16 – “The word of Christ must live in you richly. Teach and warn each other with all wisdom by singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” At the heart of our worship, we believe that glorifying God is our first priority!

Our Sunday morning worship service is led by our Chancel Choir and the Engage Praise Band. We offer several children’s choirs, a handbell choir, flute and, saxophone ensembles, and we are always glad to have instrumentalists join us in worship. Whatever your skill level, you are invited to join us as we transform our community for Christ.

We are blessed to have an excellent pipe organ in the sanctuary that is heard every week through the singing of a hymn, accompanying anthems, and the playing of preludes and postludes.

Whether it is our “Soli Deo Gloria Concert Series”, “O Holy Night”, or one of the many community groups that use our space, the sanctuary of Anniston First provides a beautiful space that hosts numerous concerts throughout the year. We believe that our sanctuary is a gift not only to our church, but to the community!

We invite you to join us in the music ministry. Whether you sing, play an instrument, ring handbells, or simply enjoy being with fellow believers who lead our worship every week, there is a place for you at Anniston First!
