Scholarships

2023 Anniston First UMC Scholarships
The Guidelines Are As Follows:

 

CONSOLIDATED SCHOLARSHIP:

Applicants must

1.Apply for undergraduate studies

There is an application form for high school seniors and an application form for current college/university students.

2. Be a member of FUMC*

3. Provide a financial need statement

4. Provide original transcripts with seals. (No unofficial transcripts or copies of original transcripts)               

* First priority is given to students who are members of Anniston FUMC.  Other church affiliations are considered if there is great

need, excellent scholarship, and potential leadership.

BATTLE/CANDLER SEMINARY SCHOLARSHIP:

Applicants must

 1. Attend Candler School of Theology at Emory University     

 2. Pursue a master’s degree or doctoral degree in theological studies

 3. Meet the following priority:    

A. Member of Anniston First United Methodist Church

B. Member of church in Anniston District of North Alabama Conference

C. Member of church in North Alabama Conference

If there are no applicants from the above categories, other applicants may be considered.

GENERAL SEMINARY SCHOLARSHIP: 

Applicants may

1. Attend any other Methodist-related seminary 

2. Pursue a master’s degree or doctoral degree in theological studies
